Q Short Chop 8.6 BLACKOUT, Suppressor, Black (SIL-SC-QUICKIE-86)

After years of development, Q has finally delivered the Short Chop — a purpose-built suppressor engineered specifically for 8.6 BLK.

This is Q’s first premium steel silencer line, developed alongside the 8.6 BLK platform to handle its power, recoil, and performance demands. Using Q’s deep-draw process, these steel suppressors offer exceptional durability at a surprisingly low weight — lighter than any steel can on the market, and even lighter than many titanium options.

Each Short Chop ships with an XL Cherry Bomb in M18x1.5, and additional mounts in 1/2×28 and 5/8×24 will be available soon. The XL Cherry Bomb allows fast, simple transitions between your FIX, BoomBox, or other Q-compatible platforms.

Q has fully modernized their steel line with precision laser-welded construction for increased strength, consistency, and a clean, refined finish. Unlike titanium, these steel cans are engineered specifically for military-oriented performance and will not produce visible sparking under fire. A durable nitride finish completes the package, offering a sleek appearance that resists scratching, heat wear, and corrosion.

The Short Chop features three fewer baffles than its larger counterpart, the Porq Chop, making it ideal for hunting, maneuverability, and compact rifle builds. If maximum suppression is the priority, the Porq Chop’s longer profile delivers even greater sound performance.
