PLEASE NOTE: Class fees are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule a request must be sent by email three days prior to your class date. 

COURSE OBJECTIVE: In this class, the student will learn the various parts, operation, and maintenance of their AR-15 rifle. Class begins with a safety briefing followed by an overview of the basic design, features, and controls of the AR-15. Under close supervision of their instructor the student will disassemble, clean, and reassemble their own AR-15 and become familiar with the maintenance requirements of this rifle platform. NOTE: THIS CLASS CONTAINS NO LIVE FIRE OF ANY KIND.

The material in this class will only apply to gas and piston-operated AR-15 and AR-10 rifles. Although many firearms share similar features to the AR-15, they can vary widely in design and function. The AK-47, SCAR, PCC’s, and other semiautomatic designs will not be covered.

Class is limited to 8 students per class to ensure each student will receive personal guidance while working with their firearm.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS: This course has no prerequisites. Students must arrive for class with their own AR-15 rifle in a case or bag, actions locked open, and a safety flag inserted into the chamber (safety flags can be provided by City Arsenal). NO LIVE AMMUNITION WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM.

Students are encouraged to bring CLP cleaner and a rifle cleaning kit (these items are available for purchase from the store). Gloves and cleaning cloths will be provided by the instructor.
